    Question Froyo Update?

I have yet to get the Froyo update and am leery of manually downloading the update as I am not exactly tech savvy. Does anyone have advice? Is there anyone else that hasn't gotten the update? Thanks.

first step, make sure you have a nexus one.

    then try settings>about phone>system updates

if that doesnt work then dial *#*#checkin#*#*

I am pretty sure that I have a Nexus one (have the box). I did dial *#*#checkin#*#* and nothing happened. Also, I went to settings>about phone..... but there was nothing about system updates. I did buy it off a guy where I live and he hadn't had it long and also I restored it to factory settings. I don't think it was rooted (but I wouldn't know if it had to be honest).

    The phone says:

    -Model number = Nexus One
    -firmware version = 2.1 update 1
    -baseband version = 32.26.00.24U_4.04.00.03_2
    -kernel version = 2.6.33.1-cyanogenmodshade@toxygene #1
    -mod version = CyanogenMod-5.0.5.3N1
    -Build number = EPE54B

I haven't the faintest clue what that all means.

How do I go about getting the updated 2.2Cyanogen? Is it possible to "unroot" it or what should I do?

Or flash it back to the stock rom and update to Froyo

http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=556 Search through XDA and it should be able to help you.
