    Wireless Tether without rooting?

Hi I just ordered my N1 a few days ago, and I'm waiting for it to get here (still hasn't shipped...wtf?).

I'm switching from an Iphone 3G and it was pretty easy to tether via bluetooth.

I am just wondering if it's possible to tether without the usb and without rooting. I am assuming that using the N1 has a wireless hotspot would work, but wouldn't that be a huge hog on battery life vs just bluetooth tethering?

I'm in Canada on Rogers/Fido if that matters.

    Thanks for the help!

It was not a battery hog from my experience. I guess it is depending on how you define "a battery hog". I used a laptop off my phone for about 3 hours and it used about 30% of the battery and it was surprisingly fast. I wasn't downloading things and browsing the whole time though.
