    Advantages/Disadvantages to rooting?

So, thinking of rooting. Didn't root when I first got the phone pretty much because I was happy with the stock.

I know how to do, done it on two other friends N1's but never looked into what it really did. They told me they wanted it done, so I did it.

Is their more apps I would have access too? If so, what kind?

    Anything bad to rooting?

    Appreciated!

If you're asking for "more apps you would have access to" (pretty unspecific IMHO...), the answer above is absolutely correct, and it's these 3 million (actually it's about 250) apps "you would have access to"...

Go through the list and try to find out, what you want. As long as you don't know what you want, just don't do it...

I think most people are rooting nowadays more for specific functionality than a list of apps.

Like better battery life with SetCPU, trackball wake/alert and modified kernels and ROM's that provide something more than stock does.
