    Hello,
I am in the UK on vodafone using a nexus I bought from google online at the start of the year. I have radio version 4.06.

How can I upgrade to the latest european version, and what am I missing out on?
    Many thanks.

There is hardly any noticeable benefit at the moment. If you fancy a super long read about people's opinions on it...

    [RADIO] New N1 Radio 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04 - xda-developers

gives you a download link and instructions. But to be honest, since I've installed the newer one, i've had a load of signal issue, so have stayed with 4.06. In my opinion, it is much much more stable.
