Is there a way to turn notification vibrate off?

My phone is always vibrating for notifications I don't even know of. I would like to turn that feature off except for the incoming phone calls and email.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks, Jeremy

Also, on a side note, when the phone is turned on, is there a way to make the phone say: This phone belongs to "myself"?

To set Vibrate ON for emails go to Gmail app, Settings, make sure Vibrate is ON.

For everything else, go to your phone's Settings, Sound, check OFF Vibrate.

IIRC, setting the vibrate setting in the settings menu will turn of all vibrations - even if they are set to on in different apps...

Not in my case..I detest vibration at any time, but WaveSecure set to backup upon charge detection (plugging in) ALWAYS causes my phone to vibrate during completion of backup tasks..when bedside, loud enough to wake sleeping wife. :|

This phone has a quiet ring. I often miss phone calls. Can I set up for vibrate only on phone calls?
And/or can I download something else that has a louder ring and vibrate.

I like this phone buy I get annoyed with the sensless vibrating all the time.
