    Its possible that at this early stage of development the notification bar has a unique identifier. There can't be too many people running around with 3.0 so they obviously want to keep it as internal as possible.

    There absolutely is a way to fake the version number and it's fairly simple. I wouldn't get your hopes up yet.

    If it were a screen shot of the homescreen or something, then I would have a *little* faith.

    I don't like looking at the menu and build numbers... I want the real deal leak like that froyo leak (the video of the homescreen)

    As for the notification bar, giving us the option to change colours, opacity and completely hiding it through the settings with out rooting would be a good starT!
