[QUOTE=hndn;67617]NOT Lame questions from android newbie :
    1- Re: add contacts
contacts - new contact- done...& where are my contacts saved to? I don't see any of the newly added displayed?
ANSWER: When you started your phone it asked you for your gmail id and password....
All you contacts are stored with that email ID.

If you dont see them then log onto a computer and check whether they're their in gmail, and move the to "My Contacts"

The N1 syncs all "My Contacts" by default ...

2- Re: personalize ringtone for each contact
    open a contact - menu - option - ringtone
Ringtone still shows as "default?" Nothing has changed.

ANSWER:have you clicked on "default"? It should show you a list of options...
did you click "Save" or "Done" after choosing?

3- Re: add ringtones to phone
connect to mac via usb, where do I create a ringtones folder, is this under "android?" I did this but didn't work.

    ANSWER:
Dump all your MP3 in a folder.. call it ("my music" if you want) and save it to your SD Card. Disconnect from Computer

    1) Go to the Music App on your N1
    2) choose a song
    3) "Set as Ringtone" - It has become your default now
    4) Exit Music App
    5) Assign the ringtone to the person

    Repeat from 2 till finished

ALTERNATIVELY - DOWNLOAD "RINGDROID" App and use it.

    Hope this helps....
