What app is creating the pop-up? Are you using a browser other than the default Android browser? Must be a security setting there.

I don't know what app is causing the problem, or if it is even an app. I'm using the stock android browser.

Well, on computers these types of errors are often caused by the machine's clock being off. The browser compares the date on the security certificate of the website to the current date retrieved from the machine. If they don't match, depending on the security settings in the browser, the error message is generated to alert you of the discrepancy.

In this case, I imagine that the mobile network server is sending an ill-formed or incorrect date stamp which is not matching the dates on the website (Google in this case) security cert.

Just a guess, but anyway I wouldn't worry about it.

I am also getting this error pop-up from my stock Android browser. This has been going on for a long time actually. It doesn't happen everytime I go to Google.com but certainly something that annoys me when it happens.

I don't get it on my n1, but my wife had the issue on her samsung galaxy s. I had to disable the notifications because it was getting too annoying.
