Google Employee Phone stuck at ERD71C

Google Employee issued Nexus One with ERD71C, and despite my best efforts can't get it to take an update.

I had no problem manually updating my previous Nexus One.

Does anyone know of a reason why this version would be resistant or have a solution?

    Good morning

Not really sure why it wouldn't update. But it's nothing to Root the phone and upgrade to Cyanogenmod. That will give you the best version of froyo out there.

Let me know if your interested, plenty of people ready to walk you thru it on here.

Sure, I'd love some help. I've scanned the forums, but been a little confused. DO you have a favorite walk through?

Cool! I prefer the old fashioned way of rooting. This guide is great for that

Or if that is too technical, this thread has great info on the 1 click root method.
