Where's the best place to find a big 'ol list of differences between Froyo and CM6 ? I know there's a lot of changes in it, but I suspect I've probably only found less than a quarter of them so far (just by pure chance).

Most recent suprise: That I could extend my desktop to 7 screens and I could increase rows of icons to 5 and it still looks great. Now instead of having too many icons for the 5 screens of 16 (total 80) icons per screen, I've now got 7 times 20 (yes, that's 140).

I want to see just how amazing CM6 is above and beyond what I already discovered before I decide how much I'm going to donate.
o- Nexus One running CyanogenMod 6.0
o- Samsung Galaxy Tab running stock Froyo (update: running Gingerbread and virtually useless)

I've got ADW set to 5 icons (columns) across and 6 icons (rows) or 30 to a page, 7 screens at 30 for a total of 210.

If you want to go all out crazy with programs, you can use Launcher Dock using one icon space and put 8 programs on each Dock and add as many as you want at 8 programs each.

There are many more options available.

The down side is a little slower response time. It was all available in 2.1 but Froyo and CM6 add observable speed in loading. Also provide available memory to make more programs possible on the phone.

Don't see anything in a newer phone that gives me a temptation to leave my Nexus One!

Has anybody here played with themes at all? Now that I'm freshly rooted and running CM6, I see some themes I'd like to try. I've been googling but don't see any instructions on how to do it.

So, how is it done? Just copy some files to a root folder? Is it safe - can I get into a situation where I can't boot and if so, can it be fixed w/o wiping everything?

Usually themes can be flashed in recovery just like a rom. First you make a Nandroid backup. Then You place the zip file on the root of your sd card and flash.

Search this thread for some themes I posted earlier that are compatible with CM6
