No reason to unroot to get 2.2.1. Cyanogen has already incorporated 2.2.1 in the latest nightly. Don't loose your ability to root by unrooting to get the update. You won't be able to go back! Just flash the lastest nightly or wait for CM6.1 which is said to be just around the corner.
Here's some proof. Just took this screenshot of my Rooted N1 with the latest CM 6 nightly
Come here little sheep; I have a nice juicy apple for you!

I got an OTA notice yesterday - tried to do it, but it aborted. I think it could have something to do with my build number, which is FRG33? From a tech website it said to do the update if you were on stock Froyo, which is FRG83, and otherwise to wait for the update to be incorporated into your ROM. I didn't even know I was running a ROM..is this true? I'm totally confused!
Thanks in advance for your help, guys.

In an effort to keep the board from being flooded with 2.2.1 threads, I'm changing the title to this thread to help try to keep down the loads of 2.2.1 thread that will continue to pop up.
Anything that is an issue should be posted in here or in the trouble shooting forum unless Admins say otherwise.

Anyone noticed the large difference in internal storage available (less) after the update?
Especially if you are using rooted phones...

I did not receive any OTA update yet... :/ Is it normal ? I'm in 2.2 FRF91. When I do a *#*#2432546#*#*, I get a notification saying: "Checkin succeeded" ... but nothing else happens...

Koolbon, I didn't lose any memory with the upgrade.
I never did get the upgrade, probably because of rooting, I flashed a nightly to upgrade.

Don't see anything in a newer phone that gives me a temptation to leave my Nexus One!

I actually got the update some days ago but I was (and still am) too busy to notice the difference. However there's this one thing that I noticed. When you open the Android Market, the Featured apps in the first page is supposed to update its contents every time (or at least every time I open it, about once a day). But since I got the 2.2.1 update, the apps in the Featured page are still the ones that were there. This is important to me since it's here where I "discover" and try out apps.
Anybody else getting this problem with the Android Market?
