Let it set in a bag of rice for 24hr with out the battery. Then try again.

I maybe have read it somewhere about Nexus One giving colorful warning light when it detected moisture. The good news is that guy send it to HTC and it's all fine afterwards. In your case, full dip in water, going to HTC is the best bet.

P/s: When I read this, I was sitting on the toilet bowl! Well I am sure that'll be my last. :D

My daughter's Samsung MP3 player went throught the washing machine and dryer. With nothing to lose we opened it up and left it on a shelf for a week. I was flabbergasted to find it worked. Never just assume it's impossible.

I've baptized a couple phones. They survive if they are off, if on - not so good. Turning on immediately - bad. Opening up to allow air dry before turning on a must. In a bag of rice very good, will draw water and moisture out.

Would be a decent idea to have an automatic shut down in presence of moisture engineered in these devices. It seems it's a fairly frequent electronic demise to dunk these things.

Don't see anything in a newer phone that gives me a temptation to leave my Nexus One!
