    Unhappy Cracked Screen (Canada)

What a messed up day for me...

Had a few friends over then one of them "accidentally" tripped over a bike.
Don't ask me what a bike is doing in the middle of the house

Long story short... the screen got cracked...

The phone is working perfect, yet the screen is messed up.

I'm in Vancover, Canada... Is there a good place to change the screen?

I did the one click root, there is no sign that it's unlocked...
Will HTC's warranty still exist if i unroot to stock?

    Any suggestions?

I recently broke my screen too. I sent it in to HTC for repair, they charged me $115. It was rooted when i sent it in, when i received it back it was unrooted.

Ya that is true but I am in Quebec Canada and I just brought it in to a 3rd party repair shop. I know most people will think it is a stupid idea but my warranty is alertly void cause I am not the original owner but at least this way if he screws something up its local and allot easer to complain cause I have red allot of issue with htc customer support but also allot of good thing about it so itís a little bit of a gamble to use it so I just went 3rd party. I haven`t got the phone back yet but I brought it in last Saturday and he said 7-10 days so I should get it back soon. Although mine was the amoled that was broken not the digitiser so I don`t know how much it would cost.

I can`t say for sure but I think it will take about 7-10 days as well plus the time it takes to ship. As far as payment I think it is done via credit card.

This is an e-mail from HTC
    ------------------------
    Dear Sherif Nosseir,

    Thank you for contacting HTC!

We apologize for any issues you are experiencing with your device and would be happy to assist. While warranty coverage would depend on a diagnosis by one of our certified technicians, based on the information you have provided, costs for repairs could range from approximately $115 (liquid crystal display module repair) to approximately $283 (liquid crystal display module and main board repair). Please contact Customer Care at 1.888.356.2375 for service options and to set up an RMA for repair if desired. Payment would be made via phone or web.

Thanks for choosing HTC! We look forward to your call.

Well, that'll take a while to fix... plus that excludes the price of shipping and the delivery wait. so, by sending it to HTC, u'll have to wait almost a month.
    -------------------------------------------------------------

I found a place in Vancouver, its going to cost $110 for everything.
I just have to wait 2 weeks for them to get a new screen.

I'll keep you guys updated once everything is complete
    wish me luck

Ok but I just hope you know that going to these guys instead of htc voids your warranty I did it because mine was already void but itís your choice.

No it doesnít but if htc fix your physical damage then you keep your warranty. Also if you are rooted then that doesn`t mean you have lost your warranty but if your bootloader is unlocked then yes you have lost it.
