I have to confirm that it connects to the network SIGNIFICANTLY faster since the update. What used to take as much as 20-30 seconds to lock onto my network now takes 4-5 seconds. This is the AWS/T-Mobile version.

Just got update about an hour ago while in 7-11, was on Edge Network at the time. after second reboot, it went to 3g. Got home and had FRG83D. Immediately got on here and found out this had been going on for awhile (I was out of town for a wedding since Thursday).

Anywho. I noticed a reception difference and also noticed that I'm still only getting HSDPA (was hoping for +), but reception numbers dropped from around 107-93 to 91-79 or about a 10-15% increase. It may be a coincidence, but I'm hoping they fixed the radio problem that I started getting with Froyo and was exacerbated by 2.2.1.

    Still crossing my fingers!

FYI, the only way I was able to get part to initiate finally is taking out my sim card, reboot, go to settings, about, system updates.

However I get stuck during the upgrade, with a white triangle with orange exclamation point with a green android guy screen.... any ideas?

    thanks,

    System update

I have received a notification of a system update on my N1 today.
I updated it & that didn't take too long. I don't think is a 2.3 Gingerbread update. I checked the phone system update:
1/ System is currently up to date.
    2/ Android version: 2.2.1
    3/ Build number is: FRG83D.
Anyone of you out has this update notification?
Thank you & looking forward to hearing from you all soon.
