    Guess my question should have been how i even install this on my phone, ir if there is even a reason for me to. I am running rodriguezstyle miui 1.8.1

    Well since I received the OTA notice for FRG83D today (and subsequently installed it without a hitch) I can confirm that the Unroot procedure for FRF91 + Universal AndRoot that I posted here: http://www.nexusoneforum.net/forum/n...ettings-5.html does, in fact, work.

    Here's the link to the xda page. You'll need to create a profile to download the file, but it works to root the phone, but requires a Windows based PC to do it. :nexusx:

    Just installed, manually installed as checkin didn't work even though it said succeeded. All working fine, no issues so far!
    Nothing is perfect, but we must not lose faith in perfection. If we did, everything would be a whole lot worse than it is now!

    I guess this is a dumb question, it doesn't matter if I'm on my home's Wifi network hooked up to the internet right? I would still get the OTA update, or do I need to be on 3G?

    I haven't received the OTA notification.

    Last time I updated was on 3G I think.

    I believe if you have a custom rom installed it blocks you from receiving updates.
