I just bought my N1 a few months ago off Amazon. I held off until the NS was out to see if it was worth it. And that would be a no, as far as I was concerned. Samsung phones have that ugly glossy plastic look, and not being able to access the SD card was a bad move. There is no way in hell I would be buying any phone that doesn't let users replace their SD cards.

For me it won't be an upgrade. It will be a new phone and my first android. I've pre-ordered from Rogers Canada and am hoping it will arrive soon.

I won't be upgrading to the S. There's not enough of a jump for me spec wise and I really like the grey metal casing of the N1. The S looks a little flimsy to me. We'll see how the next Nexus looks, I might be ready for an update then.

i don't plan on upgrading to a Nexus S (my N1 is almost a year old now !!)

It doesn't seem to be worth the money if you already have an N1, perhaps if you were getting a new phone completely...

In Australia, the Nexus S is exclusive to Vodaphone at $65/month, getting a Galaxy S only costs $39/month on Virgin. That's almost twice the cost!

I'll give it the upper hand in looks (plus LED flash) over the Galaxy S, but its definitely not worth that much.
Galaxy Nexus? I like Nexus prime more. Even the code name "Maguro" seemed cooler.

True, but the Nexus Prime could end up being a Motorola - which would be very cool.

All indications point to the Nexus Prime being another Samsung device...
