Jeeez, i miss the good old One Click Root
that was the simplest thing ever

This isn't about Rooting, since i have no experience about regular root.
I've used almost all roms out there.

    - CyanogenMod which i seem to have for a few minutes then change.
It's great, but its too i miss the 3d app drawer for one.
    - Modaco Sense : It's good and all, but i just dont like the fact that the app drawer is in the dock right, didnt feel comfortable with it. But its a great Rom.
    - MIUI : One of the best Roms out there, prolly the best. I prefer Micromod's Gingerbread. MIUI used to be my favourite Rom, it's is the fastest Rom i've used and runs great on battery. It's simply awesome
    - Micromod Gingerbread : Prolly the best thing that ever happened to my phone - still loving the screen lock animation, great battery and no lag wat so ever - I'm still going to post this on xda-developers, but Gingerbread rom, seems to not like games
I tried SpeedX, Runs but doesnt load anything in game, Speed Forge works perfectly, but i have to keep tapping the screen every once in a while, if i dont the screen turns off which really bugs me. However, its an amazing Rom - other games seem to run just fine

    Good luck man

OK, I think the zip file I had was messed up (thanks Dude21).

    Let's try with this file...
    SDK.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

Let's see if the sdk can connect to your phone...

Connect your phone, and boot into the recovery.

Then open a command prompt (Windows start menu, select "Run..." and type in "cmd").
In the command prompt, type in the following (assuming you unzipped the files to the C drive)

    c:
    cd\
    cd sdk
    cd tools
    adb devices

I'm going to do this. Since we've done this step before and it's pretty simple, it won't take long. I'm going to want to go with either Miui, Cyanogen 6.1, or the Gingerbread ROM many have raved about when I flash a ROM. But before I get ahead of myself let me know you're ready to give me more info after I do the next step (post #95).

It's 4:15 here. I will be unavailable from about 6:00 until tomorrow late morning in all likelihood.

When at the C:\SDK prompt, I enter "cd tools" and I receive "the system cannot find the path specified"

This is strange because the "tools" folder is in my SDK folder and it contains these files:
    sdb
    AdbWinApi.dll
    AdbWinUsbApi.dll
    busybox
    fastboot
    fastboot
    flash_image
    rageagainstthecage
    Root
    su
    SuperOneClick
    SuperUser.apk

    That is strange...

Try typing "ls" (that's LS in lower case), to list the contents of the sdk folder...
