No sd-ext found was the only problem I saw while watching it do it's thing. My phone has rebooted itself, so I'm guessing it's done. Rom Manager is no longer in my app drawer.

No sdext is normal, because you haven't partitioned your card.
ROM manager missing is wierd, but it may just be slow reloading.
You can always try downloading again...

I wanna make sure the recovery sticks, so if you can boot into recovery at some point and let me know what you see?

will do. I thought I'd reboot to see if it shows up. I did a search using astro and it didn't show up. I'll wait a few minutes and if it doesn't show up re load it. Then I'll see if the recovery is there and if so reboot from it.

    That's stock recovery...

    Get ROM manager working again.
    Install custom recovery again.

    Delete the following two files:
    /system/etc/install-recovery.sh
    /system/recovery-from-boot.p

Root Explorer is the easiest way, but will cost a couple of bucks...
Make sure you enable rw permission in Root Explorer (button at top of screen).

Maybe I've been trying to do it too fast. My phone has really slowed down since rooting/and creating two backups.

That didn't work either. I'm going to uninstall/reinstall the app.

That's because the recovery is what makes the backup...

OK. I got mixed up. I wasn't loading a custom recovery, I was creating a backup.

    Here's what I've done:

    uninstalled/installed ROM Manager
Flash ClockworkMod Recovery (1st on List)
Backup Current ROM (2nd on list Under "Backup and Restore")

Is it too late to delete those files now?
