    OK, right click on the "My Computer" icon on your PC (desktop out start menu), select properties, then the hardware tab, then device manager...

    Can you see the Nexus listed, out are there any items with exclamation marks next to them?

    OK, you probably have the drivers already installed then.

    Leave your phone connected, and boot into the recovery.

    Then open a command prompt (Windows start menu, select "Run..." and type in "cmd").
    In the command prompt, type in the following (assuming you unzipped the files to the C drive)

    c:
    cd\
    cd sdk
    cd tools
    adb devices

    From the fastboot screen, select bootloader. From the next screen select recovery...

    Done. This is what it now says:

    "adb devices is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file."

    I think I may have made an initial mistake by replacing the original file when we started this. It asked if I wanted to replace the existing file and I said yes.
