If you're rooted, you can use S2E from the Market and use it to move apps and dalvik to the SD (same as Darktremor, but with a simple UI)...

    Wow, awesome suggestions danger-rat
I remember you mentioning something about the dalvik in one of my threads.
    Darktremor Sounds pretty awesome!
The other app you mentioned (S2E) says it only works on CMod7, bummer since I don't have that

deeefinitely thinking about giving darktremor a go now.
the google+ app owned the internal memory's life on my phone

I am thinking I might pump my SD card up... only a 4 gig. With my luck I'll start moving apps and then run out of space

So you created a 1 gig partition on the SD card for the dalvik to live? I think I remember danger-rat explaining something about the partitioning to me before.

Is that all done through darktremor?

I was just reading the darktremor app page again... it doesn't actually move where apps get installed?
    Or did I misread it?

40ftcobb, any chance you might be able to get a screenshot of where all your apps are installed.. like on sd vs. internal?

Haven't had to much time to play with the google+ app. for being almost 8mb though it better be awesome lol

Ya 1g partition 0swap I'm using ext3,I tried the ext4 but it gets screwy with alot of roms.

If your using cm7 flash the dt zip before gapps

Then run your commands through terminal.

All I did was make a backup on the computer of my SD,format it in the computer.
Followed the prompts in amon ra recovery to create partition.
But all info back on SD card
    Turn on phone
    Terminal
    Su
    #
    A2sd install
Sets location for apps to dl to the part.
    A2sd reinstall
    Reinstalled apps
    A2sd cachereset
Reinstalls apps and moves dalvik to your partition

Hmmm.. I wonder how much different this process is if I am not running a custom rom.
I am just running default gingerbread 2.3.4 rooted.

So perhaps I would have to use a combination of darktremor (to move the dalvik) and move2sdenabler

I would think it would be just a matter of placing the zip on your SD card and flashing it,what recovery do you use?
I've ran dt on my official Google rom,2.2.1,but lost root when I updated back to 2.3.4.
