do certain SD cards have a limitation on creating partitions?
I am trying to create two partitions on an old 1 gig SD card and I am having a heck of a time with it.

I am using Minitool and it seems like the Minitool can't partition it correctly.

Anyone else run into any weird things with partitioning your sd card?

    =====================

I managed to get the partitioning to stick... at least I think.
I used the CMod partitioning option on my old G1.

    Unfortunately, Link2SD doesn't work
It looks like it isn't able to mount the partition from the SD card during the boot sequence.
I could try it on my Nexus One, but I'm a little scared of doing that

move2sd enabler moved google+ app for me on my G1.

I see that move2sd is now available from the market. For a while there it hadn't been updated to support Gingerbread I don't think.

iPeck are you using it to manager your apps?

    Sooo,

I managed to get link2sd up and running on my Nexus One relatively easily.
I currently have Tweetdeck and Google+ linked to my sd card as a test.

The phone is showing an increase in internal memory.

The only thing I noticed is that I don't think the ext partition is being mounted at boot. Or it is is, and it just take a bit for the applications to show in the app drawer. I noticed after rebooting that at first, none of the applications on the SD card show. But after a few minutes they all show.

I am not sure if it is link2sd or something else.

I did notice that the new Kingston 8gb card I got is SLLLLOOOWWW transferring files wow! for a gig it took almost half an hour. On the Scandisk card that came with my nexus one the same transfer happens in half that time. More testing is required.

If anyone is interested in how I set it up let me know and I can write something up.

I believe that he means an increase in free space, not usage.

    Yeah sorry about that.
Beer goggles has it... I meant that my internal memory use is showing a decrease - I'm picking up space..
