    OTA Notification

    Is there a way to get rid of the OTA notification ? The phone keeps wanting me to install 2.2.1 and I want to stay at 2.2 (for now )

    Im rooted and flashed stock 2.2.
    The OTA for 2.2.1 keeps poping up and it kills me...

    I think you can not have rooted by the one-click and need to have flashed a custom rom, not stock. If you dl an OTA with one-click root,you may be unrooted.

    Theres FOTA kill file but don't know if it work on 2.2.
    Its included in the new tiny gapps or you can do the stand alone flash.

    On a rooted N1 (one click root) I was getting the OTA request when it came out, and like you I didn't want to update so I kept putting it off (and it kept coming back after a day or so). I eventually decided to take the update and it downloaded but failed to install, and after that it stopped bothering me!

    I don't know if it it failed due to my having rooted, or because after rooting I had removed a few /system/app APKs (like the amazon one). I eventually decided to restore the original factory ROM and then update (once one-click root became available for the update).

    Your mileage may vary. Hopefully the FOTA kill file technique works for you.

    I dont wanna get 2.2.1 cuz superoneclick doesnt work for me. Thats why im on 2.2. I may try to fail the OTA lol
