Ah well, maybe it was just a nifty coincidence, but I did check it an with in 30 seconds I got the update notification on my phone. I did that back when the new first broke, so with in hours (if not closer) of the OTA's release. Im usually much further down the chain.

But does anyone know what this update does other than aparently fix the sms bug? Like new hboot or something like that because if not then I don't think it does anything much for preparing us for gingerbread.
Also does anyone know if this update blocks superoneclick like the last one blocked universal androot?
The checking thing didn't work for me so i updated manually now i am at 2.2.2
