    Well I did my homework ..

    here my car unit ..



    1. when conected to the car unit it ask to turn on the mas storage mode

    2. if you turn on it start reading format .. locate tracks but nothing else

    3. it charge the phone ..

    4. you still can recieve and make calls

    5. you can play music through music player, but sounds it's on the phone speaker

    6. Did not test further

    N1 CM7 nightly

    You also need to select the mount option on your phone

    sure I did .. which it's a bit anoying coz if I actuvate the usb option on the phone and the car unit wasn't ready it wont catch it ..

    That's really strange. I guess it's because those things are designed to be used with istuff.

    I have the AVH-4000 in both my vehicles, and I believe the USB hook up has to be WinMedia compatible, or something like that...

    I'll check the manual when I get home...

    I used to use this one with my iphone and was working flawless .. anycase I place all my music in a usb stick and problem solved ..

    I use bluetooth and use the Equalizers on PowerAmp or MixZing Apps to balance the frequencies out. It's sounds top notch for me. I love it. No wires in the way other than the charger and can use my phone as the "remote" for the music. I like PowerAmp cause I just swipe from songs or albums.
