GINGERBREAD 2.3.3 IS NOT OUT NOW!!!!

So I have some news: If you take a look at #GoogleNexus on twitter they have pulled down the tweet about 2.3.3 OST today. I also have a source at HTC that confirms that they will not be rolling out 2.3.3 today but rather tomorrow...

    google wtf...

Stock ROM and custom recovery will probably need to flag the update manually.
Some custom ROMs may get the update, but it may not install (depending on how stock it is)...

I loves my CM7! Would like to go back to stock 2.3.3, but I may wait a few days.

I don't think you'll get any benefit from stock 2.3.3, and you'll lose all the custom goodies you get with CM7, so I really don't see the point...

For me, the only problem I've had with CM7 was that the lock screen was partially visible behind the phone app, but this has been fixed in the nightlies.

I've heard other people have had issues with what has been termed "wonkiness", but theres a fix know as the dewonkificator. I'm not really sure what the issue is, but something to do with the phone app, which seems to be fixed by the dewonkificator with no problems. Never had a problem, so I can't really talk intelligently...

It takes about 20 minutes to flash a ROM, so I never really worry about how well it works, because I can always restore a backup our flash a new one...

The phone app has definitely been buggy for me. I have been flip flopping between CM7 and CM6 for some time now waiting for a good fix. The biggest problem I have is the phone app either force closing or getting a black screen and no ring until the call connects. I value my phone for this core function so truly CM7 does not even compare with CM6 yet. CM6 is a rock that has been 100% stable for me for a while not to mention all the super features it has.
Customizable everything (notification bar, custom message on lock screen, additional sliders on lock screen and much more that are not available in CM7)
Really Gingerbread has no advantage to it unless your a SIP phone user then you may enjoy that, but truly a few eye candy features does not make it a more functional OS.
