I was checking app updates tonight when I got home from work and noticed that Gmail had an update and one of the version changes was....

"Enable long press to copy text on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) devices"

could this be a sign that Gingerbread really is coming after all?

The phone app has definitely been buggy for me. I have been flip flopping between CM7 and CM6 for some time now waiting for a good fix. The biggest problem I have is the phone app either force closing or getting a black screen and no ring until the call connects.
Sounds like you've got yourself an iPhone there!

The Gmail update screwed up for me. After the install, I tapped on the Gmail icon to open it and view any changes, but Handcent opened instead. Tried several times. FC'd Handcent and tried the Gmail icon again - same result.

I then uninstalled the Gmail update, went to the Market and reinstalled it - now all is well - Strange huh?

Its was officially announced by Google on 22 Feb that nexus one and nexus s are being updated to gingerbread 2.3.3 and the process will complete in a few weeks. So this means that your phone will receive the update anytime now

Sorry no screenshot. I just had a notification about a system update to gingerbread, it was around 43MB.

I noticed it prompted two system updates after the download, I"m assuming the 2nd one was for a small update in Gingerbread.
