    ok heres wha i did
    i changed he name o just passmig
    held down vol and power
    white screen with 3 skateboarding androids comes up
    reads sd card
    says checking passimg.zip
    little blue bar as if loading come up on the right hand side
    it loads up to full bull
    then back to checking passimg.zip
    then i have 3 opions
    fastboot
    recovery
    clear storage
    simlock

    and thats were i am

    Those are the bootloader options which means that the file flashed and now it is waiting for more commands, you can go to fastboot and then power down but this means that the file should have flashed successfully and you should be on 2.2 now. Although I though there was also a power down option in bootloader oh well maybe it has been a while I've been in bootloader XD

    Ok well I'm running out of ideas cause I've personally never done the passimg method I just know how and you should have done everything correctly I would redownload the file and trying again.

    When the bar gets to the top, it should ask if you want to install the zip, or tell you there was an error...

    Nope I got nothing it all good anyway I've been playing around with the phone and cleaned up alot of stuff and so far its been real smooth,I took of my alternate launcher and uninstalled a bunch of crap and it seems to be running alot better no more screen jitters or force closes so ya so far so good.I'm thinking I'm gonna start learning to backup and try flashin some Rome lol if I can ever figure it out

    Besides the redesigned keyboard, there was nothing in Gingerbread up brag about. But it's good to know that the NexusOne is stilling on Google's list.
