Go to swype.com and redownload the lastest swype installer if you're registered. If you aren't registered you're gonna have to sign up to be a beta tester and have them send you the link. Make sure to uninstall swype first before running the swype installer.
Yup, tried that. I've done some reading around and I see that they did some kind of major update on March 12 and most people who don't have Swype pre-installed are having difficulties making Swype work.
EDIT: I downloaded the Swype English/Spanish instead of the full beta and now its working again, strange...

if you keep the swype installer installed, it has an update function.
If you uninstall Swype keyboard, then update swype installer, then reinstall the keyboard it will install the latest version of the swype keyboard

can't live without it; one of the reasons i changed from miui v2.3 to micromod, dunno if miui has fixed it yet

Just upgraded to CM7.0.2.1 and unable to activate & reinstall swype beta is anyone else having this issue?
EDIT- reinstalled successfully. No lyfe ain't fun without swype

installed it today.
haven't had much time with it though..
I had to completely remove swype from my phone before it would actually update though.. sort of strange..

It's always been like that. They even tell you that. Has something to do with the license I believe so that it doesn't expire on you. It's annoying imo.
