I've been in regular contact with both Voda and HTC and they both blame the other one for it not being out yet! Rubbish, I'm going to try O2 for my next server!

You can always go full vanilla (if you don't mind losing some data?)

Vanilla is the term for the no frills (straight from Google) version of Android. Some carriers, such as Vodafone add their own stuff on top of the vanilla version, so when Google release an update you then have to wait for your carrier to add their "sprinkles" on top of it, before they release the update. Historically, this can take up to 6 months...

If you have the vanilla version of Android, you get the updates from Google as they are released, and don't have to wait for your carrier to tweak it...

Easiest way is to get a shipping image (FRG33), rename it as passimg.zip and place it on the root of your SD card (not in a folder). Hold the volume down key while booting up your phone (to get into the bootloader), and the phone will find the file and install it...

This will get you to vanilla FRG33. Your phone will probably try and upgrade to GRI40 within the hour, but if it doesn't, you can install the update manually...

You need to get it on your SD card. You can download to your phone, or download to your PC and then move it to the SD...
