OK, I more or less successfully reformatted the SD card, and went ahead and upgraded to CM7.

Even with CWM 2.5.1.4 installing .zips isn't working. :-/

It's it just the Titanium zip that won't install?

Can you upload a copy of the files, so I can take a look?

    Awesome, Thanks Danger.

    OK, installing.
-Reboot phone and make nandroid backup W/ CWM 2.5.1.4
-Reboot into recovery again and factory restore and clear user data
-Boot into userland and run through first time setup
-Back into restore mode, install Bubba-Gapps.zip finished without problems
-Back in userland, Hey! There's Gmail! And TiBackup! The home screen is all jumbled up, but the gapps are there.
-Run first time setup for gapps by opening Gmail, it crashes on the one time download and install other gapps part :-/
-Gmail/maps/youtube works, Ti works, but there aren't any other gapps or marketplace.

:/ . . . So, more successful than my .zip, but still not everything >_<

I noticed the bubba_gapps.zip was, like, 3x larger than my gapps.zip (5.55mb), I don't know if that helps.

    OK, well thats weird!
I basically took my own gapps file and took out some of my personal stuff (used ADW instead of my own ADW EX, removed my personal boot animation, removed a few paid apps that I have it there, etc). It always works for me, so I know there's nothing wrong with the file.

I would suggest a complete wipe, including system, and then installing CM7 again from scratch, then the gapps...

You should probably try flashing temasek's extreme wipe firs, then try installing everything.

    OkeyDokey,

-Flashed extreme-wipe.zip (which worked, oddly enough <.<)
-As far as I can tell, there's nothing left except the bootloader. . . So I should:
-Use passimg.zip to get back to stock 2.2
    -Root 2.2
-Use rooted 2.2 to install CWM 2.5.1.4
    -Upgrade to CM7
-See if installing roms/zips works now

That's what I'm planning one, unless it's wrong. I'll edit this post when the deed is done.

You should have a working recovery, so just flash CM7, then the gapps...
