OK, got into recovery once, loaded it again to flash CM7 and it hung on boot.

-used passimg.zip to get back to 2.2, rooted, installed RomManager.
*edit* upgraded to CM7 somewhere here.
-RomMan said CWM wasn't installed, so I reflashed it.
-Flashed gapps twice, didn't work either time.

I'm pretty sure the only time flashing anything has worked for me was on the rooted 2.2, and then i used the upgrade.zip to get to CM7 RC4 and on to stable. So. . . Maybe flashing roms doesn't work on CM7? Or I'm just missing something, :-/

I am very confused by this Conversation. Have you tried flashing AmonRa Recovery instead of CWM?

    +1 for Slims suggestion.

Also, do you have another SD you can try?

I've never heard of having to flash Titanium Backup as a Zip. Why not just put the apk on your SD and install through a file manager? Then use titanium to restore your setup using Batch settings?

Edit: Ok I see the setting now but I have always used the batch settings

    Yeah, I think I'm confusing myself :P

I haven't tried AmonRa yet, I'll go check that out.

No, it's my only micro SD, but I'm planning on buying a 16 or 32 gig eventually.

    Have you tried fixing permissions?

I think that's what I'm going to end up doing with TiBackup, if I don't just scratch it and redo everything. but it would still be nice to be able to install .zips :/

i did try fixing permissions, but it got an error. That was sometime yesterday while trying to see if clearing user and cache helped.

AmonRa is only available if I upgrade to CWM 3.0.0.5 . . . Should I try that again?

Are you referring to Rom Manager needing to be upgraded?
