I wondered the same thing for a while so don't worry the thing is I do it from my computer with this software WinMd5Sum Portable | PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB, portable and cloud drives

Now this may or may not be the way others do it but meh it's worked for me.

Ok. Thanks. When I get a chance I'll check it out. I'll probably have some questions after I do,

MD5 just takes a bunch of info in the file and converts it into a character set (hash). Once you know the hash, you can check it again to make sure the file is the same. A change in the hash indicates a change in the file (corrupt, tampered with, or just modified). It's basically an integrity check...

I use ManD5 from the market...

My battery life now sucks, I think this was from the recent upgrade (or should I say downgrade). Is there a way to go back to the previous?

What did you do to improve your batt life?

3G is constanly lit up for me. I changed the wifi to never sleep but that only help just a little.

At the advice if a lot of people I decided to ditch my task manager. Since doing that I've noticed a huge improvement in battery life I'm actually pretty surprised

Oh, yeah... along the way some place I ditched mine too, I think it was around Froyo. There was a time I think when they were helpful, but think they are more harm then good now.
