    Nexus wont turn on...

Umm as of this am my Nexus will not turn on. I am suspecting the worn out power button issue that others mentioned in the past, other then call HTC, do I have any options right now? Think I am beyond HTC warranty, but still under square trade.

Well I called HTC and they said my warranty expires on 5/17, so phew! They shipping a replacement, 2nd Day fedex. That will extend my HTC warranty 90 more days.

When i called them for a faulty battery they were very nice and sent a new one pretty fast. I was pretty pleased... if you are still under warranty, they should be of help.

Ok well I have also dealt with htc and they are great for customer service but sometimes the guy you will talk to has no idea what he is talking about (it's a big company not everybody knows everything) so I would call back more than once (not necessarily one right after the other) that way you will find someone that can help you and then you should have no problems.

Now either way you will have to send it in to htc but if you want to know if it is really the power button plug in the charger and remove/replace the battery multiple times in a row but wait a few seconds in between each and the phone should turn on eventually.

Yea, I was able to get it turn on by wiggling the power button and then installed aynunlock so that I can use the volume rocker to wake phone. So that will hold me till I get the replacement on thrus or Friday. More importantly, it will let me factory reset the phone before sending it in.

Found a write up that explains why the power button fails, and well it will happen to everyone eventually it seems. Design flaw.
