    Dropbox question?

Sony laptop is fried and I wanted to partition my SD card, however I did install dropbox from the market and I'm in the process of uploading my pics there,
Now my question is will I be able to retrieve my pics from the dropbox app once I'm done the SD card partition?does it work like an external hard drive in cyber space that will work when I need it?

That's exactly how dropbox works! Very handy for many things, actually. I use it for as a repository for apps that need sideloading on the Atrix...at lest until AT&T removes the restriction on that for us.

its like a USB key you never have to plug-in... very handy. Plus the cross platform support is really nice, and if all else fails you can just access it through the web browser.

I recently set mine up with keypass to keep all my passwords and stuff encrypted and safe (relatively anyway). Benefit of it is that I can update my password database from just about anywhere and all the data is encrypted by keypass as well as the https from dropbox.(although I really only want to do it from my home PC.)

You can also gain additional storage space by sending referrals. You will get an additional 250 MB, I believe it is, for everyone that signs up based on a referral you sent. They will also receive an additional 250 MB upon sign up.
I think the limit though is up to 8GB of free space doing it this way.

    I can't 100% say as I haven't extensively used it....

but if you care about your data, and the way you have configured your apps, I think its worth it.

Just like with the data you store on your computer, you want it safe, secure, and backed up. Phones are being treated the same way.
