Removing the laser etching on the back.

Hi guys, I am new here. I have had my nexus one since they first came out and I took part in the free laser etching on the phone and put my name on there. Now I wish to sell my phone to get the Galaxy Nexus but I need to get rid of my name.

Has anyone been able to remove the etching by any means? I have tried fine steel wool and its not working, I might need something more abrasive.

i forget where the etching is, but if it's on the removable part, just buy a new back cover on ebay or amazon
