Yeah, I'm also going to wait until it arrives on Verizon. I still get to enjoy Android 2.1 until then when it comes out for the Droid :-)

They're not left out at all, since TMo doesn't sell the phone in stores! If you want one, you have to order it from Google's store, even if you get it on contract. And you won't get the best price on it as an existing customer; nor will you be able to use your existing plan.

See the T-Mobile sub-forum below for many answers to your questions.

thats what i mean. it doesnt matter who sells the phone, I am sure both Google and TMo have made an agreement. many of us have been with t-mobile for years are deprived the opportunity to get the phone at discounted price. i think its not fair to the loyal customers who could easily extend the contract for another 2 years to get the better price without changing the service package.

You certainly won't get any arguments from me!

I got mine the day after it came out. Outside of Washington DC (10 minutes) and T-Mobile.
PDA's to Windows Mobile to Android... G1 to Cliq to Nexus One

Yep, have an unlocked Nexus One on T-mobile for a week now. I love the phone, but they (t-mobile? Google Firmware? HTC?) better fix the 3G speed problem. I currently get between 450Kbps-850kbps, not exactly what I would call 3G !!! (lots of online forum chatter from early adopters about the 3G speed problem)
