Switching from ATT VM to GV VM

When I was configuring my fresh-from-the-box N1, it asked if I would like to set Google Voice as my Voicemail provider rather than my carrier (ATT). I selected yes, but the configuration failed just as Google Voice said it might on some carriers.

After a bit of searching I found that the code below will forward unanswered/ignored calls to GV.

    Activate

    *004*(Insert GV Number Here)*11#
    Deactivate

    ##004#

Simply enter the code on the phone dialpad and press send.

    Help!

I followed your instructions as listed. It confirmed that the forwarding was setup. However, when I go to the Voicemail Service I can't change over to Google Voice. Please help!

    Thanks.

Do you know if this is a network thing, or a phone thing? I already have GV with a GV number and have done this with my current phone: so will I have to do it again when my N1 comes?
