    ? for AT&T users

As a former unlocked phone user, I run on a family unlimited data plan for 10$

Does AT&T reconize this phone when sim is inserted? Anyone else running on the Family Unlimited Plan?

Before I went to T-Mobile and had the port my old AT&T number, I put the AT&T SIM card into my unlocked Nexus One and it worked like a charm. Just no 3G service.

Hi I am running my Nexus One on AT&T with a family iPhone plan with no problems. I have also used numerous other unlocked phones and AT&T has never found out as far as I know.

I asked this question on another thread and someone said AT&T has no way of knowing what phone you're other than if you are using their carrier specific phone. So it looks as though they can't tell.

    Good to know.
That what I was hoping, since the N1 is not a AT&T exclusive phone they can't tie me to the 30$ data plan.

I dont have 3g in my area, so that doesnt matter to me.

    Thanks

Currently my AT&T account shows it as grayed out which means AT&T detects it as an unknown phone.

I'm on ATT family unlimited data plan and using my nokia 5800 3g with no issue.. I'm planning on getting nexus one soon.. I'm just annoyed that I will need to spend at least $100 more to get a 32g micro sd..

32gb is overkill imo. I never even got close to filling up my 16gb iPhone

seriously why would you need so much room?

unless you plan to use your phone as a porn repository, you do not need more than 4gigs

though I will admit that I don't use my PHONE as an mp3 player, dvd player or HD camera
