I am buying a screen protector (Zagg, on order) and I use a silicone gel case. I plan on protecting my investment and keeping it pristine.
Why not use a screen protector? Just curious. I have had mine covered w/a ZAGG InvisibleShield about 1 and a half hours after I got it in the mail. Then I kept it in the little baggie that they gave me, after they installed it, for 24 hours for it to completely cure. I had no service so I really couldn't do anything w/it. Although I did have WiFi access, but I chose to let it chill. Oh and the InvisibleShield is a full body including screen, just to be safe
This is pretty amazing. I would never do that to my phone, and I'll keep it in the sleeve so it's not naked, but I'm glad to know it can handle a bit of work.
For those of you with invisible shields or bse, isn't there more resistance when trying to use (as in slide your finger across) the touchscreen? When I had invisible shield for my zune, it felt rubbery, and I thought it wouldn't work well to use on a phone unless I were just tapping.
Well, I just noticed this morning that there's a little scratch on one side of my screen, even though I keep super good care of it and have nothing else in my pocket. It's not a big scratch, but it's enough that I'm now putting on a screen cover.
So I definitely wouldn't rely on that video.
This is why mine lives in that nifty neoprene pouch that came with it
Personally I like a little battle damage on my phone, gives it some character.
