    The accelerometer does allow the user to switch from BOTH sides, it is covered in froyo & most custom roms, infact in most cyanogen roms it works upside down as well. Why do these topics keep popping up ? now and again you always have a Nexus Vs Iphone topic and it always ends the same way :S wonder how long till the "which one sounds better when dropped Nexus or Iphone" turn up xD

    I think Froyo fixed that. now you can rotate either way

    Simon, I think that many people blow this "missing feature" out of proportion. Is it really necessary be able to flip the phone right OR left? Nice maybe, but it certainly is not a "competitive" issue.

    Anyway, as was mentioned, FroYo seems to do this now anyway.

    Mine rotates all ways on 2.2 super smoothe too

    It rotates to the left and to the right with 2.2 now

    Beer, being able to flip left or right take cares of the lefties and righties. Google realized this and added it in froyo. At least that's what I think.

    With Froyo 2.2 it flips to either direction
