    Some of them have dones speed tests at different spots to give you an idea on how your provider is treating you (or cheating you).
    Well obviously my provider is t-mobile i just wanted to know the avarge speed.

    Sorry it's not obvious to me cos I don't live in the US.

    T-Mobile 3G to get speed boost later this year – Android and Me

    Check it here, they show some max potentials it can reach, the ole 3G at 1mbs, the new hsdpa will go max on 21mbs (highly unlikely when applied practically) hspa at 7.2mbs.

    so expect it to fall somewhere between 2 to 4 mbs should be decent enough.
