Anyone who bought N1 unlocked and still doesn't have any data plan can put your sim card in to a "stupid phone" then call 611 and make add unlimited data for $10.
    there's no locked n1 version...
i tested this with my friend's sim card who has $10/unlimited date plan but when i tried to browse web with my phone it told me i need to upgrade my data service.
yes,, when i first signed up for tmobile i just had them send me a sim card..
the plan was for text talk and data (they never asked what phone i had)
when the sim card came, the web on my phone did not work.
i called tmobile and they said i need the "android web" plan instead of the regular web plan. (because it was the N1)
it is no extra charge/month for them to activate the "android web"

I came from Sprint and I thought at $69 unlimited talk, text and data was a good deal....but Tmobile $59 plan was even better! Thanks!

I bought my phone unlocked, then tagged it onto my wife's existing account with T-mobile as part of the "family plan"

I added web access, we are sticking to 600(?) shared minutes, and upgraded to unlimited text messaging - the cost went up from ~60 per month to ~110 per month - so I am basically getting everything I need for $50 per month

I have a 30$ unlimited messaging and data pack through at%t. No one else in the family texts so I'm not eligible for the 10 dollar deal.

...then it ain't unlimited, then, is it!? :O
Hence the disclaimer. That's how they advertise it. Most 'unlimited' plans in Uk have caps though.

Yeah, I've never gone anywhere near 1gb. I'd recommend anyone to get on it.

I'm on orangeUK and I have had the same plan for a few years. I just buy new phones sim free and stick in my old sim card.

I pay 35 a month for unlimited data (500MB fair usage policy) unlimited landline calls, 700 anytime anynetwork minutes and 80 texts. I also get free home broadband (which, at my house is 5.5Mbps) because I pay more than 30 per month. Bargain!
