    Saving files?

I have a jailbroken iPhone 3G on (horrendous) AT&T. I've been eyeing the N1 very closely since its release and am pretty sold on getting one when it comes to Verizon - as are many of you I'm sure. I would definitely be rooting the N1 as well.
On my jailbroken iPhone, I heavily use downloading and file browsing functions via a couple of 3rd party apps/utilities. On a rooted N1 (or not rooted..?) would I be able to download an mp3 or document from an email, save it to the phone/os, and then launch it?

Sara, the Nexus supports this out of the box.
