T-Mos HSPA+ Upgrade to Hit the Coasts First

Interesting interview/article here about T-Mobile's 3g upgrades this year:
T-Mo’s HSPA+ Upgrade to Hit the Coasts First – GigaOM

    Interesting quote:
"Mayo at T-Mobile said the operator doesnt have the advantage of a fixed wireline network, but it has deployed fiber to 7 percent of its towers with 20 Mbps of capacity on those fiber strands. He also said that within the next few weeks the operator will turn on fiber to about 25 percent of its towers."
What kind of speeds do you guys get and what cities are you using T-Mobile in?

I've heard about Philly's ridiculous speeds, but haven't seen the craziness in my neck of the woods (and I watch a lot) I'm addicted to the Speed Test app and always checking my speed (it's generally around 400k, with peaks at 800k and lows of 200k) in St. Louis.

I'm wondering if everyone else is seeing similar results on T-Mobile...?

I'd be freaking happy with 1 mb consistently.

    7 mb would be ridonkulous.

Never hit 1mbps, always around 850 or so.

My friends says he gets about 1.8mbps on his Droid on Verizon... I'll be very happy with that speed.

In the Portland OR area, I'm getting numbers similar to you on T-Mobile. Normally between 200 and 600, sometimes a little higher, sometimes lower. But this is so much better than my 60-160 while I was on AT&T, that I'm very happy.

my speeds are very random. i can get over 1200 up and down one minute, then get 150 down and 400 up the next moment. i tend to lean towards the lower end though.

    North Jersey here.
