    thanks, it's back to 100%, the moisture stickers on the inside aren't even triggered

    I was wondering the same thing...I know people who put rice in their salt shakers to remove humidity. It would be a lot better than putting it by the radiator, because the radiator raises the heat levels too. I can imagine some bad things happening if heated too much.

    Hopefully I'll never need the rice method.

    hah.. probably doesn't matter... but since i buy Nishiki rice in 25 pound bags, that's what i used...

    i've also read that you can heat the rice in a 225-250 oven for an hour to try it out more and get "better" results, but i used it straight up and it worked great.

    phone wouldn't power on at all last night, just a flashing amber-green status led.

    today at noon, all good.

    ill admit i read this post yesterday and I was like "wtf is this nut case gunna do with his phone in a bag of rice" didn't know about the humidity thing. But happy to hear your phone is back and doing well. I hope if i ever do happen to drop my phone in water that i remember this post.

    that's correct... no permanent damage to the phone, and clean moisture indicators. Dropped the phone into the water 26 hours ago, and it's working perfectly as i type this
