    Lol I read somewhere that even though the CPU speed is higher on a overclocked Droid that it was still slower than an overclocked nexus

    dont see the point of this... doesnt actually make anything faster... yet you risk mechanical failure... even if its like 1-2%...

    Overclocking it that much will shorten its life span dramatically and have a higher chance of failure. Good Luck!

    Wont be trying this, I think you have to root as well to enable the app that increases the speed, am I wrong?

    In any case, even if you don't have to root, ezeddiekun is correct, it will definitely increase your chances of hardware failure. Think about it like a PC CPU, they require extra cooling if you want to overclock, thats not an option with the Nexus is it!

    I read that the actual voltage doesn't increase at all so there is virtually no threat to the hardware since its running at the same temp.
