Verizon-bound CDMA Google Nexus One apparently passes the FCC
The FCC has just approved a CDMA HTC-made smartphone with the model name PB99300.
Since the GSM/HSPA Google Nexus One is the PB99100, the PB99300 is likely the CDMA version of the Nexus One, which should be launched via Verizon soon (Google has officially announced that Verizon would support the Nexus One).
Unfortunately, we still don’t know when exactly a Verizon-ready Nexus One will be available, but it looks like that day is near.
Most probably, the Nexus One for Verizon will be sold directly via Google’s online store, just like the Nexus One for T-Mobile. As for the price, let’s hope the N1 for Verizon won’t cost more than the one for T-Mobile ($180 on contract).
As a reminder, Verizon should also launch the HTC Incredible, another new Android 2.1 smartphone.
