    Android still in it's infancy

You know, I realize that Android is still in its infancy, but there are some features that I just don't understand how it is they went missing.

For instance, I currently need 4 different apps just to search for contacts. I'm currently using Aurora for general search, gesture for searching in the contact list (would be nice if it searched all fields, instead of just the visible fields), ContactU for group management and some searching (that interface needs some work to make it useful for me), and the normal contact app. egad

How could they forget the "empty trash folder" command????

4 apps to search your contacts?

You do know if you push the Search softbutton, you can search your contacts by letter.

Or once you have the contacts list open, then you push and hold the MENU softkey, and the keyboard will appear. Start typing and all searches come up.

You can organize your contacts by category both on Nexus and Gmail desktop.

Sounds like you are making a simple task 4x as difficult.
