IS there a best way to save battery? turn off the wifi, 3g, bluetooth, etc.

Only using wifi, 3g, bluetooth when needed will help...

However as xPatriick said, all smartphones.
Not even just that, my old samsung M610 flip phone, bluetooth if it was enabled would kill the battery in half a day when brand new.

I noticed my battery improved after a week or so of using and recharging the N1. I also got one of the Google OEM batteries when they were released. For only $25, which I thought was very reasonable, I keep it charged and with me as an extra backup if I should need more power. I can usually go a full day on one battery, but I can relax and enjoy my phone completely with this setup.

    Battery

Is the battery in the Nexus one of those that have a memory and should be run down before charging or can you charge the battery anytime?

    Just a FYI add on...

Ni-cad batteries are prone to memory effect and have a shorter life span.

Li-Ion batteries (Which the Nexus One uses) do not suffer from memory effect, last longer; but are more expensive.
