    Android Market updates

    Hi.

My GPRS (2G or 3G) is always on. What bugs me is that I keep getting update notifications from Android Market. As long as i'm on a wireless network, I want these notifications, but I don't want to pay for mobile network traffic unless I choose so myself.

Anyone who knows if it is possible to turn off notifications from AM (and from all other applications, for that matter) while on a mobile network?

    Regards,
    Ninjabiff

Read the link below to download the owners manual for the Nexus One.

Thanks, but it didn't help me very much, unfortunately.

If I uncheck the "Background data" atb, then also the auto-sync at my Facebook and email accounts turns themselves off.

Then, if I open the Android Market browser/application, I get the message that it needs background data to be enabled. I then have two options, either turn background data on, or quit the application.

I guess that means that if you want your email accounts to sync, you can't disable notifications from AM?
